PURPOSE:To ensure the approximation for the complicated curve via a comparatively small number of nonlinear-type arithmetic circuit or the arithmetic equation by providing the nonlinear arithmetic circuit plus the means to set the order number and plural points of contact. CONSTITUTION:First, the corrdinates (x1, y1)-(x6, y6) of points of contact P11- P16 plus order number 3 are set up by setters 20 and 21 for the point of contact and the order number each, and thus nonlinear arithmetic circuits 11A-11E corresponding to each section as well as comparator 12 are set automatically by, for example, the processor, the computer or the like. Then the actual converting action is given, and the interpolation equation of Lagrange which passes the nearest points of contact P12-P15 is used when, for example, the x coordinate is at X within section E3 to calculate y coordinate Y to x. And while x is between P14 and P16, the similar Lagrange's interpolation equation passing P13-P16 to vary the approximate polynomial with each section. In this way, the approximation is ensured simply for the complicated curve. |
