PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for any fiber protecting pipe and obtain the photo coupler of a small size and low cost by placing the centers of a photo semiconductor package provided with an optical fiber and the optical fiber at the center of a support and directly bonding these in a photo connector. CONSTITUTION:A photo semiconductor package 20 and a support 30 which supports an optical fiber 21 at its center are pressed and fixed to the step 16 provided in the required part of a photo coupler body 10, on the inner side of the body 10. A bushing 50, composed of plastics having elasticity, is inserted with the lead terminals 22 of the photo semiconductor package 20 in its holes and is detained at its pawls into a screw 40 to maintain the spacing of the lead terminals 22 and prevent the entry of foreign matter such as dust or the like into the inside. In this way, with the center of the optical fiber being put in the center of the support, the photo semiconductor package is integrally supported in the same axis and is mounted and fixed to the photo coupler body and therefore the miniaturized photo coupler may be obtained. |
