The process consists of adding a surface-active and fluorinated prod. to the water used for mixing with the refractory material and binder. This reduces the surface tension, increasing the wetting power and allowing a reduction in the amt. of water required, which reduces the effect of oxidn. and increases the mechanical strength of the mould.
