PURPOSE:A polyethylene composition that is made by adding aluminum hydroxide to polyethylene, thus being errosion free against water even when used for a long time and used for manufacturing polyethylene water pipes. CONSTITUTION:To polyethylene is added 0.05-5.0 wt% of aluminum hydroxide. The aluminum hydroxide used may be any grade product available as a filler; however, high-purity and fine particle products are preferred. The amount of aluminum hydroxide added is more, it is more desirable; however, excess amounts cause the reduction in the mechanical strength of the pipe and 0.05-5.0 wt% is preferred. |
