PURPOSE:To check whether the sector signal of an arbitrary sector length exists or not by recording a specific mark, which precedes a sector mark by a fixed number of bits, separately from the sector mark. CONSTITUTION:The sector length of sector mark 1 to be checked is set arbitrarily according to use purposes of a unit. Check mark 2 is provided a fixed length before sector mark 1, and length from check mark 2 to sector mark 1 is counted by master clock 3, and it is checked whether the counted value agrees with a preset value or not, thus checking whether the sector signal exists or not. |
