The edge mechanism has a cover rail (1) and an actuating rod (2) which is longitudinally displaceable via a pinion mounted in a mechanism housing (5). A catch housing (6) is arranged on the cover rail (1) and cooperates with a run-on plate located on the fixed frame. The housing (6) is provided at one end with a run-on face (9) and at the other end with a spring-loaded locking member (10). The run-on plate (12) has a detent element (13) for the locking member (10). In the edge mechanism, the run-on function and the catch function advantageous for the auxiliary retention of the wing are performed by one and the same constructional part. The retention means can be arranged very closely to the run-on device, with the result that, even in the event of a subsequent warping of the material of the wing frame, the press-down forces exerted on the catch device are kept low on account of the extremely short lever arm between the run-on device and retention means. The catch housing thus also performs the run-on function and the run-on plate at the same time serves as a detent element for the locking member arranged in the catch housing. <IMAGE> |
