The shelves which make up the cupboard are formed by movable drawers(12) which can be swivelled about a vertical axis between two end rotary positions in which they become accessible and inaccessible respectively from above. By using swivel drawers in place of normal drawers means that less space is required for the cupboard depth. The drawers pref. swivel about a common axis e.g. a stand pipe(16) and are connected in each front corner of the drawer. The cupboard depth need only be slightly greater than the width of the drawers.
