The metering system, for pumpable feedstuffs, has a mixing vessel, a pump, a metering vessel and conveying tube that passes the mixed, metered feedstuff to the place where the animal usually eats. The conveying pump sucks the feedstuff from the metering vessel and passes it to the eating places via the conveying tube. Non-return valves control the flow of feedstuff depending on the direction of the pump. The volume of the metering vessel is equal to the max. quantity of feedstuff required at an eating place. A limit switch in the upper region of the metering vessel controls the degree of filling of the same. An indicator is located in the region of the eating place and indicates the quantity metered into the metering vessel.
|
