<p>The clamp consists of two parts e.g. a 'U' channel in the sides of which 'V' cuts have been made. One side of the 'V' is vertical, the other at a slope. A block into which two sloping faces have been cut can slide with these faces on the sloping sides of the cutouts. The two parts are fixed together by pins which fit in the block and pass through slotted holes in the 'U' channel. The block is pushed up the sloping sides of the channel by a screw and exerts a force against the part to be clamped.</p> |
