The construction stanchion (E) has a base plate (P) and is maintained vertically by a U-shaped collar held around the stanchion by a through bolt (2a). The collar is supported by three legs (a, b, c) which are hinged at the upper end and fitted with feet. The U-shaped bracket is fitted with a wall (5) on its inner surface.
