Novel 3-oxo-cyclopentenyl-ureas of the formula <IMAGE> [wherein the cyclopentenyl ring can contain a further double bond; R1 is hydrogen or C1-7alkyl, R2 is C1-7alkyl, R3 is optionally unsaturated C1-7alkyl, or R2 and R3 together with the C atom linking them together are optionally unsaturated cycloalkyl, or R1, R2 and R3 together with the C atom linking them together are substituted or unsubstituted phenyl; R4 is hydrogen, C1-7 alkyl or substituted or unsubstituted phenyl; R5 is hydrogen, or an optionally esterified or amidated carboxyl or nitrile group; R6 is hydrogen or C1-7alkyl, and Y is oxygen, sulfur, the imino group=NH or the cyanoimino group=N-CN] are active in lowering blood-pressure and may be used in pharmaceutical compositions. |
