Device has U-shaped powder rails and is pushed against the welding seam. The welding powder is scattered on a heat insulating layer e.g. an asbestos fabric, between the shafts of the powder rail. Between this layer and the bottom of the U-shaped powder rail is a pressure rail which can be pressed up to, or lowered from, the welding seam by externally operated, variable pressure, mechanical means. |
