<p>The anti-fall unit comprises a shaped plate (2) forming a jaw (3); this has a flat plate (4) attached to it. A second similar jaw (6, 7) is held against this flat plate by spring loaded guides (12, 13). The user compresses (11) the springs to open the jaws and engage the safety bar (26) on the building; an integral key (15) locks the jaws. The safety line (24) is attached to a safety catch (19) pivoting between the jaws. This catch is in the form of a lever (23) with a serrated cam at the end locking against the safety bar (26) under pressure.</p> |
