Lead storage battery with plastic clamp - which is put on top of plate block in each cell and is in contact with cover underside

The battery has cells whose plate block is thinner than the corresponding width of the cell container. A U-shaped single piece plastic clamp is put on the top of each plate block and its top side is in close direct or indirect contact with the battery cover underside. The clamp elastic sides rest on the cell continer walls while their free ends are at a distance from the container bottom. The top of the clamp (27) is directly or indirectly connected with a part (32) of the cover (14) at a distance from the cover edge (35). The battery top is sealed by closure stop (13) which fits into similarly threaded electrolyte filling space.
