<p>The open-sided high-tensile steel band (10) has, around its interior, spikes (11) of a hard material e.g. tool steel. The band is used for clamping a hose to a metal tube. When in position, the curved end (15) of the arm (14) is secured around one of the hooks (12) formed on the outer surface of the band (10). The arm is then tensioned by operating the over-top-dead-centre mechanism formed by the arm and the lever (13), hinged to the wall of the band (10).</p> |
