Dual fluid feed circuit - has two pumps and relief valves enabling energy discharged from one circuit to be used in the other

The fluid pressure feed system has two receivers (1, 2) and two pumps (9, 10) each joined to a receiver by a pipe (14, 15). There is a cross pipe (18) joining the other two via a relief valve (20). The receivers consist of pistons (5, 6) reciprocating in cylinders (3, 4). In the pipes leading to the receivers are non return valves (16, 18). A pipe (19) leads from one feed pipe (15) via a relief valve (21) to the reservoir (11). The pumps draw from the reservoir via separate pipes (12, 13). The circuit uses the energy of fluid discharged from a valve in one circuit for use in the other.
