An oxidation resistant ion exchange resin, which is particularly useful for removing cations from an oxidative agent-containing solution such as chromium-plating solution, is produced by halogenation of an ion exchange resin. In Examples, sulphonated styrene/divinylbenzene copolymer resins are reacted with Cl2, Br2 or F2. |
