Bath lifting seat for cripples - is operated from water supply pressure by inlet and discharge valve

The lifting seat is for use by those crippled in the legs. It is designed to allow them to get in and out of a conventional bath unaided. It is connected to the water supply and controlled by a water inlet and discharge valve. The water is admitted to a telescoping lifting tube (2) and there are supporting hinged rods (3, 4) whose function is to protect the tube from bending when it is fully extended. The hinged rods fold inwards when the seat is in its folded or lowered position.
