<p>The device is constructed as a portmanteau having two hinged halves housing a pair of arrangements of springs which are connected to corresponding one ends of respective cords whose free ends are connectible, in use of the device, to a rod or tube which is displaceable upwardly and downwardly, alternately, relatively to the upper surface of the opened-out halves in order to simulate the lifting of weights. Springs of different rates, which can be stored in one or both of the halves of the device, can be connected to said cords in order to increase or decrease the "weights" being lifted. <IMAGE></p> |
