The car window drive (10) is operated by a threaded cable element (12) connecting the window sheet with the motor-driven drive mechanism. The threaded cable (12) slid inside a guide tube (14), translatory movement being transmitted to the window lifting mechanism. The entire assembly (10) is bolted to the car door skin by threaded nuts (16) pressed onto the lower housing part (10). The housing consists of an additional part (22) and an upper part (24). The lower housing part (20)has a section (28) by which the housing is fixed to the door. There is a middle section with a recess penetrated by the guide tube (14). The housing part (24) is penetrated by the guide tube (14). The housing part (24) is penetrated through its middle by a drive shaft (18) seated in a collar.
