<p>A thermostatic control system adapted for use in a combination microwave/thermal oven is disclosed, wherein at least the outer surface of the temperature-sensing element in the shape of a bulb is an electrically conductive metal of the type that is either oxidation resistant or which forms a metal oxide which has a low loss tangent at the microwave frequency employed in the oven. The sensing element is thus permanently incapable of absorbing substantial quantities of microwave energy.</p> |
