摘要 The present invention relates to a method of improving, and reducing the cost of, the production of shelving which is made of wood material and which is intended for mountable shelf systems in which the shelving is supported by "shelf ladders", i.e. vertically supporting pairs of wooden posts which are resiliently connected by crossconnections made of steel wire yokes, which also support the shelving by way of channels in the shelf ends. The previous custom has been to make the shelving from boards, which have been glued together, edge to edge, to form shelving of the desired width ("straight-glued joints"). However, the gluing procedure is expensive and labour-intensive, and pieces of shelving which have been glued together are moisture-sensitive and can only be used for the respective shelf width, something which adds to the expense of storing shelving. According to the invention, by contrast, the shelving is made by joining together two or more separate boards, such that a given piece of shelving can be disassembled, with moisture-resistant shelving of varying width being formed. The boards are joined to each other by means of guide pins, which are detachably accommodated in opposing pinholes in the side edges of the boards. The resulting boarding, which is diagonally rigid but which has insufficient planar stability, is given dimensional stability in the width direction, and planar stability in the height direction, by wedging it between the resiliently connected vertical posts of the shelf ladders and inserting the steel wire yokes into the end channels of the shelf boards. <IMAGE>
