PURPOSE:To enable recording media liquid to be preserved for a long period of time, by providing a layer composed of the liquid, which is non-phasic soluble to the recording media liquid and has a small specific gravity, between the recording liquid in a tank and the open air. CONSTITUTION:In a recording media liquid storage tank 6 of a device in which recording of the liquid is made on droplets of splash occurring at the time when the recording media liwquid is discharged from an outlet 1 provided on a recording head 1, a layer composed of the liquid, which is non-phasic soluble to the recording media liquid and has a small specific gravity, is provided between the recording liquid in a tank and the open air. By being equipped with a receiving unit 16 which smoothly supplies the recording media liquid 7 into the system, thus composed storage tank 6 can be turned into a kind of free-to-mount-and-dismount cartridge device. |
