PURPOSE:To decrease the moisture content of original plate quickly and uniformly, by pressurizing the original plate containing moisture being enclosed with felt, by means of metal drum having multiple mesh small windows, being free to rotate around the shaft of which inner pressure can be reduced. CONSTITUTION:A porous metal drum 2 is rotatably fitted, by means of roller bearing 12, around a hollow shaft 1 which is connected to a vacuum exhaust device. Radial reinforcing posts 6 are fitted to the side wall of the drum 2, and radial sluice plates 7 are provided in the inside thereof. Multiple mesh small windows 8 are formed at the end of the sluice plates 7 by means of partition plates 9 intersecting therewith, and are communicated to the hollow shaft 1. An original plate 5 containing moisture placed between felts 3, 4 is held in between said porous metal drum 2 and another drum 11, and is moved to one side. At this time, the inner pressure of the hollow shaft 1 is reduced, and, at the same time, a pressure P is applied from above the drum 2. The original plate 5, while being pressed by the felts 3, 4, is deprived of moisture from the small windows 8, so that the moisture content may be promptly and uniformly absorbed and removed. |
