A system for conditioning the air of animal stables and for the recovery of by-products includes a scrubber (19) for washing air removed from the stable, and a cooling battery (15) downstream of the scrubber, as well as further means (33, 34) for branching-off a limited amount of carbon dioxide containing air from the bulk of air circulated through the stable. The water in the scrubber may contain chemicals, which will combine with the carbon dioxide, the cooling battery preferably forms the evaporator of a heat pump, and the branched-off air is advantageously conveyed to a consumer of carbon dioxide containing atmosphere, for instance a greenhouse. |
