<p>The anti-dazzle attachments are for road vehicles, and include their application to driver's glasses or spectacles. The attachments reduce eye fatigue without reducing lighting efficiency. Filtering is based in all cases on the use of a polarised screen or glass allowing only the vertical component of the headlight (11) output to be thrown forward. The driver is similarly protected against all but vertically polarised light by suitably polarised spectacles (17). The headlamp filter (10) may be detachable using clips (12) and in place of spectacles, the windscreen may include a fixed polarising filter (13) or a filter that can be raised and lowered over part of the windscreen at the driver's discretion.</p> |
