The container consists of synthetic-coated cardboard, forming an integral blank, and has a rectangular base and flat sides. The container top is sealed by inwardly folding side flaps, which are integral extensions of the side walls. The upper edges of all side flaps are heat sealed and form a projecting roll, which is folded and fastened to one of the flaps. The roll engages on the flap (6) on chosen areas of the relative surfaces. A central section (12) of the roll engages on the flap to a lesser degree than the remaining sections. The central section is within the outer edge of the roll, to give a continuous seal along that edge.
