PURPOSE:To stabilize the frequency of an oscillator at low cost by electrically coupling a bellows part with a reasonator by sealing inert gas in an airtight chamber with an incorporated heater which has the bellows part and is controlled by a temperature sensor. CONSTITUTION:Waveguide 1 has incorporated oscillating element 2 and to the end part opposing to its output terminal, airtight chamber 3 is provided. One part of airtight chamber 3 constitutes bellows part 4, whose tip surface is short surface 5 inside of waveguide 1. Inside of airtight chamber 3, heater 6 is built, where inert gas is sealed. The ambient temperature of the oscillator is detected by temperature sensor 9 and on the basis of its detection signal, the gas in airtight chamber 3 is heated by heater 6 to change gas pressure.As a result, the cubic volume of bellows part 4, i.e. the position of tip surface 5 is controlled to adjust distance (l) between oscillating element 2 and short surface 5, so that a stable oscillation frequency can be obtained. |
