PURPOSE:To enable to effect stable combustions in a multi-flames gas burner by utilizing electrolytic actions imposed in flames and thereby preventing liftings or lost-fires of the flames. CONSTITUTION:Flame ports 12 are provided in a row on a burner base 11, formed in a pipe-shape, along the longitudinal direction thereof at a constant distance and an electrode 14, supported in a proper flame among the flames 13, ejected from the flame ports 12, by a proper means, is connected to a positve terminal 16 in a terminal box 15 while the base 11 is connected to a negative terminal 17. When a DC voltage up to 2000V, in a range that a dielectric breakdown will not be caused between the electrode 14 and the burner base 11, or an AC voltage of 300V-2000V is imposed under this condition, combustions may be promoted under conditions wherein the base portions of the lifting flames 13 are attracted to the flame port portions 12, and thus, effects for holding flames may be maintained. |
