PURPOSE: To provide a low-profile vibration-resistant structure by employing a composite and integrated strap to provide low-profile connection to a cell element in a battery and an inter-cell connector. CONSTITUTION: An opening part of an automobile cylindrical lead-acid battery 10 stored in a mono-block jar container 12 is sealed by a lid 14. Spirally-wound cell elements 24-1-24-6 are connected in series by inter-cell connectors 26, 28, 30, 32 and 34. Each inter-cell connector pierces a notch formed on an upper end of an inter-cell partition, and, for example, the connector 26 is formed of an integrated composite strap to electrically bond a negative plate tab 38 of the cell 24-2 with a positive plate tab 40 of the cell 24-1 and the inter-cell connector. Thus, a low-profile battery having the structure whose vibration resistance is improved can be provided. |
