PURPOSE:To prevent accident due to contact between electrodes by preventing the sliding of elastic gasket for electrolyte chamber by providing a number of through holes on the gasket side for electrolyte chamber of electrode frame provided at the peripheral edge portion of electrode. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral edge portions of the positive and negative electrodes 2 and 2' are fitted with the electrode frames 1 and 1' for electric connection. The positive and negative electrodes 2 and 2' are laminated through the separator 8 to form an electroyte chamber, the elastic gasket 7 for the electrolyte chamber, and the gaskets 6 and 6' to form a fuel chamber and an oxidant chamber. And the elastic gasket 7 side for the electrolyte chamber of the electrode frames 1 and 1' is given the through holes 11 and 11', and also the electrode frames are given the through holes 3 and 3' through which gas passes, the through hole 4 through which electrolyte passes, and the through hole 5 for clamping bolt. |
