The system adjusts the distance between the flange and core of a liq. filled mounting, esp. an hydraulically-damped rubber mounting for an automotive engine. After the initial filling with fluid, an opening(8) is used to drain some off or add more via the mounting wall, thus varying the distance between the flange(4) and core(1). This adjustment can be made with the mounting in the loaded state.
