<p>The diesel engine fuel supply pump is flange-mounted to the injection pump and comprises a piston formed from sheet steel in a cylinder bore in a housing with valves. The piston is reciprocated by an eccentric via a push rod against a spring. The housing is light metal, whilst the cylinder bore is provided in a steel cylinder liner. The liner may comprise a guide for the push rod. The housing and liner may each have a flange which are together bolted to a corresponding flange on the injection pump.</p> |
