<p>The measuring system is used during accurate machining esp. during grinding. The system makes use of caliper probes (9, 10) which measure both diameter and rate of reduction of radius. The probes are mounted on a slide. When the rate of reduction of the radius is measured, the slide is moved against a stop, so that only one probe (10) engages with the workpiece (1). Electronic circuitry is available, to process the signals from the probe. A filter is switched into the circuit when measurement is switched over from "diameter" to "radius".</p> |
