<p>The tongued and grooved system used in house construction is in conjunction with standardised building blocks, which have groove, tongue, holes, depression, gap and clinkering. Half-height or otherwise deviating blocks of different sizes are used for spanning windows and doors, and have the same characteristics. Corner stones have groove, tongue, holes, side depression gap and clinkering. Those for fitting to internal walls have a side attachment, and gable blocks have tongue, holes, gap and depression. The depressions are filled with mortar. Blocks are suitable for use by unskilled people building their own houses.</p> |
