The mechanical adjustment for a clutch pedal linkage uses a spring-loaded cam(6) about the clutch lever coupled to the lever by a locking ratchet(3) operated by a toothed wheel and a fixed stop. The linkage is automatically adjusted so that the pedal travel remains constant, compensating for the clutch plate wear. As the clutch wears the springs on the cam ensure a constant rest point for the clutch, while the locking ratchet grips a different part of the cam. No external adjustment is required.
|
