<p>Double-glazing pane is made of transparent or translucent plastics, esp. acrylic "glass" and has "U"-profile fitted over and along its edges. The component double panes are connected with each other by "bridges". The profiles seal the chambers defined by the "bridges" of the double panes in air-tight manner, and all these chambers communicate with hollow space(s) packed with some hygroscopic material e.g. "molyculates". The glazing construction, minimises deleterious effects of weather and atmospheric agents and prevents intrusion e.g. of insects and other vermin, in between the panes.</p> |
