The vacuum packing machine has chambers shaping the packing sheet material and evacuating and sealing the packets, each chamber comprising top and bottom parts movable in relation to each other. In the working position they clamp the sheet edges between them, and each comprises a base and a top, together with four walls at right angles to each other. One or more of the chamber parts are contructed of profiled material, and the front and rear walls (1-4) form part of a lid.
