<p>PURPOSE:To shorten a master cylinder device by making a piston fitted in a housing in the form of bottomed cylinder, fitting a rod-shaped boss in its inside freely to slide, partitioning No.1 pressure chamber within the piston, and by partitioning No.2 pressure chamber in the housing and piston. CONSTITUTION:A piston 6 fitted slidably in the housing of a master cylinder device 1 is made in the form of a cylinder having an opening at one end inside the housing 5, and therein a rod-shaped boss formed in a single piece with the housing 5 is fitted with possibility of sliding freely. No.1 pressure chamber 14 is bordered by the internal wall 12 of this piston 6 and the rod-shaped boss 13, while No.2 pressure chamber 17 bordered by the external wall 15 of piston 6 and the inner wall 16 of the housing. One end of No.1 return spring 24 accommodated in No.1 pressure chamber 4 is borne by the tip of the rod-shaped boss 13, while one end of No.2 return spring 25 accommodated in No.2 pressure chamber 17 borne by the tip of the piston 6, and they are energized in the same direction.</p> |
