THERMAL DEVICE A thermal device for providing area heating or cooling of a mamalian body or limb thereof comprises a flexible pad formed from two overlying sheets of fluid impervious material. The sheets are peripherally sealed together to form a fluid tight compartment. Fluid inlet and outlet means are provided to communicate with the compartment which is provided with a plurality of fluid directing passages. The fluid directing passages are defined by a large plurality of oriented, discontinuous sealed areas.
