PURPOSE:To increase the cooling speed of the head part of metallic patterns and shorten the casting cycle, by force-cooling the circumference of the head part of the metallic patterns. CONSTITUTION:After molten metal is poured into metallic patterns 1, 2, the molten metal gradually freezes. The pattern temperature sensor 12 provided near the prodcut part 4 detects freezing temperature and opens the electromagnetic valve 9 of the pipe 8 communicating to the upper part of the head part 6 from the pressure tank 11 of a cooling medium 10. As the cooling medium 10 is released, the head part 6 of the metallic patterns 1, 2 is force-cooled. To prevent overcooling, the freezing point of the head part 6 is detected with the pattern temperature detector 12 and the release of the cooling medium 10 is stopped by closing the electromagnetic valve 9. After this, the metallic patterns 1, 2 are opened and the product is taken out when the detector of either one reaches the preset temperature as detected by the pattern temperature detector 13 or by a timer. |
