PURPOSE:To improve the light resistance, adhesivity and color reproducibility of an ink-jet recording ink, by the use of a specific cyan dye, magneta dye or yellow dye containing sulfonic acid croup, as the recording medium of the ink. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium composed of a dye containing 2-4 sulfonic groups per one molecule, selected from (A) a cyan dye of formula I [Ar<1> Ar<2> are phenyl or naphthyl (substituted by sulfone, alkoxy, OH, etc.); R<1>,<2> are OH or H; R<3>,<4> are sulfone or H; X is -N=N-, or -NH-], (B) a magenta dye of formula II or III [Ar<3-8> are phenyl, maphthyl, phenylene, etc. (substituted by sulfone, OH, etc.); R<5> is sulfone, OH, etc.; m, n are 0 or 1] and (C) an yellow dye of formula IV [Ar<9> is phenyl or naphthyl (substituted by sulfone, etc.); R<6> is sulfone, OH, etc.]. 1- 5Wt% of the medium is dissolved in a solvent, and jetted through an orifith. |
