The electrophotographic recording material consists of a dielectric support bearing a thermoplastic photoconductor. The support is preferably a transparent film of polyethylene terephthalate. There may optionally be an adhesive layer between the support and the photoconductor which may be covered with a top layer for modifying the surface reflection. This provides a simple, cheaper means of producing a transparent set image and dispenses with a conducting layer e.g. stannic oxide, aluminium etc. A coating composition used is polystyrene and poly alpha- methylstyrene containing 2:5 -bis-(p-diethylaminephenyl)-1:3:4-oxadiazole as photoconductor. |
