Watercraft rocking-wing propulsion unit operating arrangement - uses pedals with cranks for seated operation, and rope and guide wheel for lying-down operation

The arrangement permits operation by a seated, lying down or standing person. These positions being interchangeable. The seated position uses pedals, one, or two worked alternately, connected to the actuating arm by a crank. Steering is by bicycle-type handlebars connected to a bow rudder directly and to a stern rudder via tiller ropes. For lying-down operation a chain or rope connects the levers to the arm, with a guide-wheel incorporated in the line. A wing with vertical, oscillating shaft is operated in all positions by a horizontal lever, rotated for steering.
