The high level launching device for model gliders has a launching rope wound onto a drum. The launch drive is applied by a second rope from another rope drum connected to the first drum by a common shaft and unwound by the direct pull of the model operator. To select the best transmission ratio there are several rope drums with different core diameters. The high level launching device is assembled at the starting point and the launching rope is led over a reversing roller.
