Safety catch for container strut - has locking bar at end to grip hole in strut

The extending strut for the vehicle load, or container, is secured by a spring loaded safety catch whose shaft has a T-shaped end (15) which locks into a slot on the far side of the hollow strut (2), with a larger access hole (4) in the near side of the strut. The catch is rotated to lock, in one simple movement. The handle (8) is located in flat recess with the swivel action on a moulded flange (9) inside the recess. The spring (16) is set about the shaft to hold the catch in the strut.
