The self-locking attachment link suspends vessels with external supporting trunnions on opposite sides from cranes, the link housing having a slot open at the bottom and slightly wider than the trunnion diameter leading into an opening of the same width in the base of the link. One or more hooked levers in the housing are thrust under the trunnion under load. The housing has a similar slot in the rear wall also, together with remote controls to open the levers. The drive for the remote-control mechanism is accommodated in the grip portion of the link, and the thickness of the housing is slightly less than the free distance between the vessel head and the inside of the trunnion head.
|
