The combustion zone has a wall, on which pegs are fixed to hold several layers of refractory mats by means of disck or plates pushed onto the pegs. A hollow drill is then used to remove part of the inner layers of the mats round the pegs and a holder port is clamped on each peg. The front end of each peg is then broken off, and the pots are filed with refractory insulation. Each peg and is pref. joined to the peg by a zone of weakness, e.g. a turned down zone permitting easy fracture and removal. The pots are pref. held by disck provided with rims. Rubber disks are pref. used to hold the mats on the removable ends of the pegs. No metal anchors are exposed to the max. temp. reached by the surface of the lining in the combustion zone.
|
