PURPOSE:To realize a signal transmission system which has not the necessity of providing a power source for every transmission unit and is suitable for digital signal transmission. CONSTITUTION:Transmission unit 10 is provided with power source 2, and transmission units 10 and 11 are operated by power from power source 2. The DC output from driving power source 15 is modulated and is sent to unit 11 on signal transmission line 3, and a DC output is obtained through transmission signal-power converter 26 and D/C-D/C converter 27. For example, in case of transmission from unit 10 to unit 11, modulation signals are applied to transmission isolator 19 of unit 10, and the DC voltage of driving power source 15 is modulated and is transmitted on 3 to obtain a DC output from converter 27 as the above. A demodulator circuit connected to receiving isolator 18 is operated by this DC output to obtain original signals. Thus, it is unnecessary to provided a power source for every transmission unit. |
