Frequency dependent signal derivation - uses two alternating voltages with intermediate direct voltage varying with their frequency ratio

A circuit producing a frequency dependent signal receives two alternating voltage input signals. It forms a basic component of arrangements for simple resolution of problems encountered in signal processing, control, and regulation. A direct component varying with the ration of the frequencies of the input signals is used to produce an output signal whose frequency is a function of the frequency ratio. The direct component V has the value A + B.f1/f2 where A and B are constants and f1 and f2 are the input signal frequencies.
